Essential oil, is the Secondary metabolites from Plants. Most of essential oil aremixing dozens or hunderds of chemicals. Its main component are terpenes and aromaticderivatives and so on. Selected Artemisia annua and Ajania tenuifolia from specialecological environment in Yanchiwan Natural Reserve, extract its’essential oil, thananalysis the chemicals which from the essential oil, discussing and concluding. The volatile oil was extracted from Artemisia annua by steam distillation. chemicalconstituents of the volatile oil from different growing periods of Artemisia annua inYanchiwan Natural Reserve were analysied by GC-MS.The relative content of eachcomponent was determined by area normalization. The results showed that the yield andcomposition of the volatile oil at different growing period are notably varied. There were8common components in the identified ones. C15H24are the highest chemical compositionin essential oil A. Its matching degree reaches98%. Its content reaches11.502%.C10H18Oare the highest chemical composition in essential B. Its matching degree reaches96%.Itscontent reaches7.913%.There are only three compounds same as other place. The rest ofthe compounds are monitored for the first time. So it explain that the volatile oil fromdifferent growing periods of Artemisia annua.its compounds are different. Although thevolatile oil’s compounds substantially the same from twogrowth stages.but there are somedifferences.such as species and quantity. And each growth stage has some particularcompounds. The volatile oil was extracted from Ajania tenuifolia by steam distillation and solventextraction and ultrasonic extraction, compare and analysis its’ extraction, then reachconclusion that the best method is steam distillation.Analysis Ajania tenuifolia’s volatileoil from different growth stages, concluded that oil from growing period are more.Thecomponents of the volatile oil were separated and identified by GC-MS.The relativecontent of each component was determined by area normalization. The highest chemicalcomposition in essential oil are alkane compound,Its content reaches11.303%.Naphthalene compound, Its content reaches9.108%.Terpene and olefin compound, Itscontent reaches7.394%. C10H18O are the highest chemical composition in essential oil, Itsmatching degree reaches97%. C15H24and C15H24are the highest matching degreecompound, Its matching degree reaches99%.
