JinPenliang in Shaanxi province is located in the north of ShanYang-ZhaShui basin andthe south side of Shang Dan fault zone, which is one of the most important accumulationareas of gold deposits in China. There are a lot of metallogenic conditions in the study area,such as structures developed and strong magmatic movements.In order to find out the prospecting zrea and delineate the favorable zone formineralization, JinPenliang was conducted1:10000geological mapping,1:50000streamsediment survey and1:10000geochemical soil survey with the method of combining geologywith geochemical exploration. Following is the main achievements:1)The main host strata and source beds are the5th and6th litho logic section in theUpper Devonian Tongyusi Formation, of which silty shale, dunn bass and calcareous shale areore-bearing rocks. Secondary trending faults of NWW-NW faults are the main ore-controllingstructures, followed by NE and NW faults. Rock veins in study area are closely related to goldmineralization.2)The elements, such as Au, Ag, As, Sb and so on, a typical association of mid-lowtemperature hydrothermal type gold ore-forming elements, are enriched in the upper5thlitho logic section, the lower fourth litho logic section and the6th litho logic section in theUpper Devonian Tongyusi Formation, and have wide variety in contents, showing that thesestrata may be the source beds of Au.3)7multi-elementary comprehensive anomalies are obtained on the basis of1:50000stream sediment survey results, including one class A anomaly, four class B1anomalies andtwo class B2anomalies. Reproducible anomaly of every comprehensive anomaly is very goodafter examined by1:10000geochemical soil surveys. The anomalies and ores are strictlycontrolled by fractures and have the same distribution direction with Nearly E-W-trendingfaults, showing that Nearly E-W-trending faults control the distribution of gold deposits.4)We can finally pick out four prospecting targets according to the geological conditionscombining with the dimension and strength of the anomaly and element combinations andfollowing the principle of analogy, which are Xuantangou class A prospecting target,Zhoujiawuchang class B prospecting target, Yanjiadawuchang class B prospecting target andLucaogoucun class C prospecting target.5)4gold and antimony mineralized bodies were found and orientate NWW directionwith the method of combining geology with geochemical exploration.Jinpenliang gold deposits are controlled by brittle-ductile shear zone and their ore- forming matter are derived mainly from the Upper Devonian Tongyusi Formation, so we canPreliminary conclude that the Jinpenliang gold deposits were formed by the conmprehensiveresult of statrum, structure and mineralized alteration, with multistage metallization.
