Recently, as the rapid development of economical, there is an increasing life andproperty damage caused by geological disasters. Yan ’an city on the geomorphic unit is part ofthe loess plateau in China, and also is the economic, political and cultural center of northernpart of Shanxi Province. On account of geological disasters growing more and more critical,Yan ’an people’s orthobiosis and life security is influenced more seriously. Geological hazardwhich upgrowth from the loess plateau has close relationship with geomorphic type, in orderto summarize the distribution characteristics of geological disasters and the relationship withthe geomorphology, During the participation of the project process of "Yan’an City geologicalhazard development characteristics and distribution laws", I carried out The correlationreseach on geomorphology and Geological disasters in Yan’an, and has achieved thefollowing results:1) According to predecessors’ achievements, the Yan’an City geomorphic types on macrois divided into four types, namely: middle mountain, loess tableland, loess hills and terraces,the four types according to their different characteristics can be divided into ten differentcombination types: middle mountain covered by loess, loess tableland gullies, the disabledloess tableland gullies, loess tableland beam gullies, ChangLiang loess hilly gullies, LiangMao loess hilly gullies, loess hill gullies of Mao Liang shape, loess Huan Liang breadth valleyof rolling hills, the bedrock valley hills covered by a thin loess and terraces.2) Through investigation and data summary, Yan’an City geological disaster area andhidden danger point systematic classification were conducted, and the development type ofYan’an City geological disaster was summarized.3) Using the Arcgis platform, all the disaster points and Yan’an City geomorphologicalmaps were overlaid, landform and the correlation of geological disasters were analyzed.Obtained the development law of the geomorphic evolution controlling different types ofgeological disasters, moreover geological hazards development to a certain extent promotesthe evolution of the geomorphology.All the above research achievements of geological hazards in loess plateau region has thereference value for the after in-depth study, and has a guiding significance for Yan’an Citygeological disaster programming.
