Xinjiang Hami Three Ridge Ming Area is of drought and sparse vegetation, theecological environment is very fragile. How to protect the ecological environment duringmineral resources mining process is a strategic significance and practical significance of theresearch topic. This study uses the scientific theories and advanced methods to analyse theevolution of ecological environment in mining area to promote regional stability andeconomic development. The main research results:(1) Using RS and GIS technology combined with field survey, the status of ecologicalenvironment in the study area are analyzed. From the change in the southern developed areas,the coal mining has double effects on ecological environment. On the one hand, due to coalmining and the human life, the southern zone of sandy land, mining land and residential landarea increased, especially in the mining land increased most area, soil erosion pit surroundingincreased significantly; on the one hand, the coverage of local vegetation in mining area isbecoming better, especially the local ecological environment around living area is better.(2) Based on the mining area development planning, the impact of future mining areaconstruction on the ecological environment of the study area is analyed. The mainly effects onecological environment are open-pit mining destruction of land resources, the surfacesubsidence caused by underground mining impact on the ecological environment, and theinfluence of exploration and mining activities on vegetation.(3) From the protection of the ecological protection point of view, the suitable evaluationfor development is analysed in study area. At present, the mining production mainlyconcentrated in the more suitable for the construction area, mining area ground facilitiescovering does not involve the inappropriate development zone.(4) based on the status quo of the ecological environment, integrated use of remote sensing and geographic information system technology, combined with the position of theecological function areas, the main ecological problems of land use and resource development,the studied area are divided into four zones: Eastern coal mine remediation, remediation ofcentral pit remediation, West wells industry regulation area, northern exploration area, andputs forward the corresponding ecological protection and treatment measures.
