| With the development of science and technology, knowledge plays an increasingly importantrole in various business processes, and become a significant strategic resource. The society is movinginto the era of knowledge economy, in which the possession and configuration of intellectualresources, and the production, distribution and use of knowledge are considered as the most importantfactor. In this era, there is a lot of knowledge in each process, so the efficient implementation ofbusiness process can not be separated from the effective use of knowledge. Business process must becombined with knowledge management so that it can serve business process. What’s more, the use ofknowledge in business process can update enterprise knowledge that can better guides the executionand optimization of business process to improve operational efficiency and enhance thecompetitiveness of enterprise.Therefore, the research on integrated modeling of business process andprocess knowledge is of great significance.Metagraph theory is applied to the integrated modeling of business process and processknowledge. A company’s product development process is used as application background and theintegrated modeling method is proposed, which makes full use of the unique graphic structure ofMetagraph. There are several characteristics as follow. First, process knowledge is considered as anelement of business process, which extends the range of process model based on Metagraph. Second,Sub-Metagraph and its independence can be used to analysis the process structure, and determinewhether certain sub-processes can be separated from the whole process. Third, the calculation of theaffinity between organization and process knowledge is given to implement the quantitative analysisbetween them. Forth, the system of integrated model of business process and process knowledgebased on Metagraph is designed and implemented, and the result of the application case is given. |
