Chengdao oilfield is typical double entry oil and gas accumulation belts in thebackground of large tectonic in Chengdao area, and the main purpose of series of strata isNeogene. However, the exploration of Ming Huazhen formation is in the low level ofunderstanding. In the light of the controlling factors of hydrocarbon accumulation and thedimness of accumulation rule, this paper mainly targets on the structural features, thedistribution characteristics of reservoir, the conducting system and traps of Ming Huazhenformation in Chengdao area, based on the seismic data, drilling core data, logging data, testdata etc. We explicit the conditions of the oil and gas accumulation, set up the oil and gasaccumulation model and forecast the favorable exploration area.We can explicit the controlling factors of hydrocarbon accumulation, build thereservoir model and summarize the rule of reservoir by the anatomy of typical reservoir,analysis of defeat well, tracing and interpreting the bottom layer of standard in MingHuazhen formation and the tectonic map. We can also confirm structural features of thebottom of Ming Huazhen formation and determine the distribution of Nm4sands in thisarea, owing to the distribution characteristics of Ming Huazhen formation on the base ofthe division and correlation of stratigraphic. The macroscopic transportation system is builton the base of combination relation between oil source fault with sand bodies combinationrelation.Lithologic-structural oil and gas reservoirs and structural-lithological oil and gasreservoirs are main types of Ming Huazhen formation in Chengdao area, which are mostlycontrolled by both structure and lithology. The oil and gas reservoir is distributed along theChengbei fault zone and its vicinity in the plane, mainly enriched in Nm42å'ŒNm43layerslongitudinally. Based on the analysis of defeat well, this paper makes sure that longitudinaloil ability and dominant migration path are controlled by fault activities and tectonic ridge.Accumulation horizon is controlled by the reservoir cap combination and hydrocarbonaccumulation area is restricted by the channel distribution. Eventually, the major fault-sandreservoir-forming pattern and major fault-secondary order fault-sand reservoir-formingpattern are established. We forecast that the piece of L168and the piece of CB11are the favorable exploration area.
