The study area is located in the Inner Mongolia West Ujimqin area, in the North Chinaplate and Siberia plate, the intersection of composite ground. West Ujimqin area twoTriassic shoushangou formation widely exposed, well developed, lithology is relativelystable, metamorphism, deformation degree is low, is the ideal area to study geologicalstudy of Permian strata area, so as to lay the foundation of regional geological tectonicevolution history. In this paper, layer by layer measured the shoushangou formation section, startingfrom the lithology, ascertaining the shoushangou formation lithology, rock composition, occurrence, distribution, strata contact relations and sequence, lithology combinationcharacter shoushangou formation and the basic sequence; the system of rock (ore) analysis, identification of fossils identification, major elements, trace elements and rare earthelements, study of petrological and geochemical characteristics of Shoushan Gou group. Atthe same time, based on the fossil types and combinations, the inference of the regions inthe formation of sedimentary environment, sedimentary facies.Research shows that: clastic sedimentary combination of West Ujimqin shoushangouformation is a set of sandstone, mudstone, can be divided into three sections: a DuanWeibin shallow-neritic deposit; two section, three section is a set of turbidite abyssalbathyal-system development, graded bedding, parallel bedding, slot die features of turbiditesedimentary structure, Bouma sequence development is not complete; at the same time, combined with the trace fossils associated think West Ujimqin shoushangou formation isgravity flow causes the submarine fan deposition, and according to the macro sand, mudstone rhythm, that the construction of flysch typical. The study area flysch sandstonethin section analysis and geochemical analysis, the results are consistent, graywacke. Fromthe analysis of greywacke major element and trace element geochemistry, indicates that theflysch tectonic setting of continental island arc type stone.
