Molybdenum metal is used a wide range in industrial production and people’slives.As the improvement of technology and the process of industrialization,the demandsfor molybdenum will also increase in the whole society.So to carry out the researchwork in molybdenum exploration is significant.Liaoning Xifeng Xingwen molybdenum mine, located in the south of LiaoningProvince, Xingwen Tuen, Tiande Town, Xifeng with Siping City, Jilin bordering thesouth side of the junction. The region located400-450m elevation above sea level in thelow mountains, with developed water, a temperate continental climate. The railway,high-speed railway, highway, national highway, provincial, country around the mine,sothe transportation more convenient. Transportation and electric power conditions toensure the future mine construction. It’s a well-molybdenum available resources.Meanwhile, it’s a great geological prospecting molybdenum discovery in LiaoningProvince in recent years. It’s a typical examples of geology, geophysical exploration,geochemical exploration,remote, trenching and drilling verification’s reasonabblecombinations. Typical examples of the successful research through its geochemical,geophysical, geological mapping, drilling engineering achievements in exploration workexperience to guide future exploration projects, for national economic development andcontinue to make better and more economical new exploration results has far-reachinghistorical significance and practical significance.The geological work is few in the past years,only a samll exploration work carriedout by different units in different times.It led to this region is not only few geologicaldata in the past and the lack of systermatic,and without uniform recorgnization for themetallogenic regularity of the area and ore-controlling factors, the scope ofmineralization and alteration intensity are unclear unfavorable conditions. Thisexploration work is first based on regional data of past conduct in-depth comprehensiveresearch and select pre-investigation focused target.The exploration program isdetermined by the good informaiton of pre-investigation.In order to ensure the rational ofthe exploration project, reduce risks and improve the investment income of theexploration project,this exploration used geophysical and geochemical prospecting inadvance, drilling engineering validation exploration principles. Geophysical andgeochemical first, first uses soil geochemical survey in the known small-scaledecentralized stream which based on the results, to carry out soil geochemical survey1:10000, measuring element is Mo, Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, Bi six elements.The main purpose ofgeochemical is to find the integrated elemens of the surface geochemical anomalies,through the comprehensive analysis and processing of geochemical anomalies to improvemineralization understanding of the law in this area.Designed and layouted geophysical1:10000measurements on the basis of this recorgnization.Geophysical exploration DCmethod of the type device in the middle of the gradient is chosen. and the obserbationparameters are the polarization and the apparent resistivity.Its main purpose is to detectblind ore bodies in deep and trace control geophysical exploration anomalies spatial distribution characteristics.Procide the basic for drilling engineering.The drilling’s verifiction bases on the comprehensive achievement of thegeophysical and geochemical anomalies in surface geological.Design and Layout ahigher probability verification drilling first.After find mine,and then to the drilling asthe preferred location,using rational engineering spacing, in accordance with the knownto the unknown, from sparse to dense exploration principles, geological and geophysicalanomalies delineated ore concentration Area systematic exploration. Drilling spacingarrangement is determined according to the project’s basic principles and requirementsspecification molybdenum exploration to determine the baseline azimuth50°and200m×200m exploration grid, and the first mining area encryption to200m×100m mesh. By drilling have proved a large area of the district outcropping rocks belong tothe shallow plutonic intrusive rocks, molybdenum ore occurs in porphyritic granite andmonzonite contact altered granite and granite surrounding rock, this mineral deposit is aintrusive rocks in shallow porphyry molybdenum deposit control, belonging todenudation shallow concealed mineral deposits.
