This thesis systematically researched on the geological settings of Narin mine region. Data were collected for the main mafic ultramafic rock magmatism in the proterozoic era and related magma copper nickel sulfide mineralization characteristics, all of which is located in Sudbury district, Canada. By a great number of mineral slice identifications, rocks were classificated and designated, the lithofacies belt were distinguished and the ore types were also redefinited in Narin mine region. On the basis of analysising the composition pattern and variation of rocks oxides, trace element components, chalcophile elements and siderophile elements, it was redefinited that series of magmatic ownship, the geological setting of the rock formation, basic features for magmatic origination and revolution were analyzed, the geological mechanism and controlling factors for sulfide separation were also discussed in Narin mine region. Initial Perspective targets assessments can be concluded in Narin mine region, based on these researches we get some basic understanding as follows:(1) The mineralization types in Narin gabbro mine region mainly are: disseminated pyrrhotite, pentlandite and chalcopyrite. The contact zone between gabbro and quartzite, partial gabbro are the main nickel and copper formation parts, belonging to the magmatic sulfide deposit. Veinlet-disseminated copper mineralization were also found in sandstone. The genesis and multi-stages are closely related to hydrothermal activities.(2) The geochemical analysis of chalcophile elements for most of the mineralization samples show a positive correlation between sulfur and nickel, indicate a correlation between copper and sulfur in disseminated ores. Meanwhile, it shows no clear linear correlation between copper and sulfur in seminated ores. Copper was transferred in a certain extent during the hydrothermal alteration. Isotopic analysis suggested that there were some sulfurs added in the process of magmatic evolution which may originate from metamorphic quartz sandstone or few Volcanic breccia, offering sources for sulfide liquation.(3) The variation for the whole rock oxide composition is mainly subjected to fractional crystallization of enstenite and clinopyroxene in No. Ⅰ and No. Ⅱ Narin Rock mass. Which indicates that a great extend fractional crystallization has been occurred before magama entered Narin rocks. Undertake strong assimilation and contamination at the same time. The primary magma for Narin rocks could be basaltic magma which has partial melting.(4) The metallogenic condition and prospecting potential for Nipissing suite can not be that desirable. The major perspective targets should be focused on diorite vein diabetes mineralization in Sudbury, which distributed within20km in Sudbury rock mass.
