| The Wuminggou-Baidongou area in Dulan County of Qinghai Province islocated in the Dongkunzhong magmatic arc belt of the Dongkunzhong landmass, withboundaries of the Dongkunzhong deep fault in the south and the Dongkunbei deepfault in the north. Northwest-southeast faults are widely distributed in the area, ofwhich the Yanjingou, Yingshigou-Hongqigou, and Sandaoliang-Kushuiquanbrittle-ductile shear zones are major ore-controlling structure zones. The majorexposed strata are the Proterozoic Group. Gold-bearing alteration belts and gold orebodies are generally controlled by the northwest-southeast brittle-ductile shear zonesin the Proterozoic strata, thus these zones are the favorable segments for explorationof gold mineralized or ore bodies.In the three brittle-ductile shear zones are distributed six ore-bearing fracturealteration belts (Ⅱ, Ⅳ, Ⅶ, Ⅸ, Ⅺ and Ⅻ), in which occur alterations consisting oflimonite, jarosite, quartz, calcite, kaolinite, and sericite, and closely related to goldmineralization. Several places with high gold content are recognized in the sixfracture alteration belts, and two gold ore bodies are blocked out within the fracturebelt with HS25anomaly. The amount of gold resource is estimated as1.36ton byusing vertical longitudinal projection method, indicating the HS25anomaly is ananomaly associated with ore deposits.The widely distributed Proterozoic strata with high gold background in the areamay play a basic role in the formation of the gold ore deposit-concentrated area.Multiple intensive magmatic activities may provide rich ore-forming fluid andmaterial for its formation. The three brittle-ductile shear zones may act aspassageway for ore-forming fluid and place for ore occurring. Thus, theore-forming condition is excellent, potential for ore prospecting is large, andcalculated resource amount is up to25ton in the area. |
