The advanced research of Jehol biota have an impact on the world, and still manyscientists continue to understand and explore this fossil. Different lithological, lithofaciesand fossils inhomogeneity result in different stratigraphic divisions and correlationbetween independent Mesozoic Basin, it could not establish a unified regionalstratigeaphic sequence, fossil assemblages, nor it determine the geological age.The early Cretaceous strata in the west of Heilongjiang is equivalent to YixianFormation in western Liaoning, consists mainly of off white acidic tuff, dimentary tuff andclay alternating with gray-green wacke and grayish purple andesite. The conchostracans,Ephemeropsis trisetalis were found in Guanghua Formation from Longjiang Country, belong to the Early Cretaceous. In recent years, the Heilongjiang Geological Museumhave collected some animals and plants fossils, including dragonfly, conchostracans,Ephemeropsis trisetalis, bivalves, fish, Baiera and so on. Combining with the dataobtained from lithologic characteristic, fossil association and sedimentary characteristics, the author studied the stratigraphic division and fossil association from southern GreatXing’an Range area and Yixian Formation of Liaoning, and description the stratigraphy, geological age and fossil characteristic of Jehol Biota from the study area, this Jehol Biotais similar to the Jehol Biota in western Liaoning, belongs to the Early Cretaceous. Fossils which found in western Heilongjiang have been identified as the Jehol Biota, the same fossil species which are common to western Liaoning can be found in this areaprobably be found in the future study that provides new base for scientific research andpopularization of science about Cretaceous paleontological community extends northwardin Songliao Basin.
