Dongguashan Copper Deposit located at the center of the Lower Yangtze Geotectogene in the northern margin of Yangtze block is an important deposit in copper-polymetallic metallogenic along the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River. Based on the analysis of the Ore-forming geological background, geochemical characteristics, fluid inclusions and ore-forming geological conditions of the deposit, author researches on source of ore-forming materials, the ore-controlling factors, the genesis of deposit and etc. The main achievements are made as follows:1. Qingshanjiao Rock Mass is weak silicate saturated, vice-metaluminous and calc-alkaline, and the light rare earth elements are enriched strongly, and that δEu and δCe is from0.75to1.06,0.81to0.84respectively,which indicates that low degree of magmatic differentiation. Analysis of trace elment shows that Qingshanjiao Rock Mass has good potential for Cu metallization and the characteristics of subducting crust magma evolution.2. Trace elements and major elements analysis on typical section in dongguashan indicates that source of metallogenic materials is the magma.3. By systemic researching the diagnostic fluid inclusions of the Dguashan copper ore, we find that homogenization temperature can be divided into high temperature(378.8℃~547.5℃), intermediate temperature(220.1℃~378.2) and low temperature(196.7℃~263.2℃), the salinity can be divided into two groups—high and medium-low. The ore-forming solutions belong to the H2O-Na+(Ca2+, K+)-Cl-(SO42-) type. According to calculating the Eh and pH of fluids, the ore-forming fluids in ores are characteristic of weak deoxidize and weakly alkaline.4. The special stratigraphic lithological association prepared good geological conditions for ore-formation, that the structure is the necessary factor because it made magma and orebody in place, and that Qingshanjiao Rock Mass is the important factor because it supplys main ore-forming materials, ore-forming fluid and energy.5. Based on the the analysis of characteristics of geology and geochemistry, ore-forming geological conditions, source of ore-forming materials, ore-controlling factors and mineralization, Donguashan copper deposit is skarn-type copper deposit controlled by layers, and the mineralization is mainly contact metasomatism thanks to intermediate-acid magmatic hydrothermal.
