Because of obvious advantages such as its dating scope, rich dating material,direct dating of sediments one of the of, OSL dating is the most recognized datingtechniques at present eolian study and also the most common application with Highdating precision. Its dating ranges from decades to hundreds of yearsThrough the in-depth research,we get those conclusions:1. OSL dating year descend orderly from bottom to top in line with deposit laws. So itis reliable data. Considering with the average deposition rate, zhuli loess profiledeposit rate is5.93cm/ka. Through OSL dating and regional comparison, the eoliansection of zhuli in Jiaolai basin is mainly formed during quaternary deposits.2. The entire loess profile of sand (5μm-63μm) is relatively large, and the average is66.09%. Clay (<5μm) content of average is4.32%at least. Sand content is more, lessclay content. It does not meet the law of Chinese loess particle size decreasing fromnorthwest to southeast, reflecting that the provenance of the region is near the source,and also reflects the relatively cold weather during the deposition, in the lastglaciation.3. Particle fractal dimension of the average correlation coefficient reach0.96, themaximum value of more than0.98. the strong correlation tells that particle size andacculation percenticle of particle mass have a significant linear relationship in eachlog-log coordinate. Thus loess grain size with good characteristics of fractal structure.During the same period, compared with the same period composition with loessdeposition in inland Northwest, Zhuli particle size is smaller in particle fractaldimension. It does not meet the chinese law of loess fractal dimension diminishing from northwest to southeast, inferred Shandong zhuli loess profile near the source.The source material is mainly from the last glacial outcropping shelf material andunconsolidated sediments of Yellow River flood plain, substance carried fromnorthwest flow accounted secondary position.
