In packaging, steel and textile industries, it is necessary to winding on the strip (rolling)forming in order to reduce the storage space or convenient to transportation. In the process ofwinding drum, it often appears the wrinkle and uneven thickness, which seriously affected thequality of coiled material. In this paper, for the sake of making the drum tight and smooth, it isnecessary to analyze the process of winding and study the tension that distributes in the windingprocess, thus completing the phenomenon of no winding curved crease.This paper mainly researched contents and results as follows:1) Analysing the domestic and overseas’ research current situation about the changes ofwinding intension and come up with the rules of changing inner tension and the inertia force,which based on variable system.2) Analysing the mechanism of winding tension system. A reel model was transformedinto2D planar model. Because of the axial symmetry of rolling, inner tension can conclude intothe radial stress and tangential stress analysis. Meanwhile, analysing the influenced factors ofwinding tension, which including its mechanical properties, winding radius, inertia force, rollcore and winding tension. According to the web within curved wrinkle principle, puttingforward the requirements of winding tension in the stable conditions, which between thetangential stress zero and yield stress σs.3) Based on the elastic layered theory, then regard the thick wall cylinder roll as a thickwall cylinder. Taking advantage of stress method to satisfy the basic equations of elasticboundary problems, stress distribution formula of thick wall cylinder subjected touniformpressure in considering the inside and outside wall of physical conditions, then thedynamic mechanical analysis of reel tension by using the theory of Ce Da Lambert principle,establish the dynamic force balance equation. Finally through the superposition principle and thecalculus principle and mathematical model of the volume around deduce the process of windingtension distribution formula of inertial force, namely the internal drum winding process oftangential stress distribution.4) Studying the effects of the comparison among the each winding parameters on thewinding tension and using the Matlab Gui interface to design the winding tension in the system then calculating and analyzing the software. Through analyzing of examples, find the intensionwinding increases withthe radius decreases; at the drum of any point, with the increases of radiusof winding, the winding tension gradually increases. At the same time: it can not be ignored thatthe larger of the effect of inertia force on the winding tension; the rigid core shaft and reducetension control function is more favoured to the winding tension to maintain the uniform withoutwrinkle phenomenon.5) Analysing the dynamic calculation of winding process simulation by using AnsysLs-Dyna, then getting the variede rule of winding stress and the simulated results accord to thenumerical calculation of Matlab. Consequently, verifying the feasibility of theory.6) Further research on the theory and analysis of previous studies analyzed, get theconclusion.7) Summarizes the full text and further prospects to the researched contents.
