The equidimension focusing inversion is a new mechanism for interpretation ofgravity data. On one hand, it involves focusing imaging algorithm and equidimensiongravity survey. Focusing inversion is essentially a featured linear regularizationinversion, using conjugate gradient method as optimization. On the other hand,airborne gravity survey has gained notable development which meets the demand ofhigher resoluting capacity. Upon that scene, the equidimension inversion mechanismemerged.Firstly, this thesis discovers the defects in the previous focusing inversion theory.Through theoretical derivations and computational experiments, we educe theimproved focusing inversion routine. Applied to interpretation of single layer groundgravity data, the improved focusing inversion shows reasonable inversion results onthe different model instances among single hexahedron, twin hexahedrons and theladder body. In the previous focusing inversion,the focusing parameter shows noregular relevance to the focusing imaging results, which leads to confusion inpractical interpreting. The improved focusing inversion resolves that issue since thefocusing parameter sways the inversion results in a new inerratic way. Therefore weattempted to find out the factors determining the optimal focusing parameter. And weenumerate3factors that may influence the optimal focusing parameter value, the sizedisparity between the geological target body and the source grid, the subdivisiondensity of the source grid and the scale of the whole inversion instance. Theconclusion is drawn that the size disparity takes primary influence while the latter twofactors takes slight influence. The biggerthe size disparity is between the target bodyand the source grid, the less value the optimal focusing.Secondly on the basis of improved focusing inversion, we introduces theequidimension survey grid. Thus the equidimension focusing inversion is completed.The inversion instances indicate that the vertical resolution capacity of equidimensionsurvey grid takes remarkable effect in focusing imaging. The equidimension surveygrid can availably restrain latent climbing effect of gravity inversion in focusing inversion routine.Thirdly, we implemented the equidimension focusing inversion in Fortrancodes.Single iteration time consuming observes evident reduction with extra codeoptimizing.
