Originated in early modern Europe, the word civilization is most used indescribing people’s behaviors and the most common meaning should be “politeness”,“education” and “civilization”, of course, it also symbolizes “citizen” and “resident”.The very first user of the word civilization is French enlightenment scholars, whospecifically pointed out that the word civilization refers to a kind of dim aspire forknowledge, technology, ethics and also social progress and we now call it thebeginning of “Enlightenment”. With the continuous development of economy andsociety, what civilization stands for has changed from personal to more social and ismore and more used for describing the degree of social progress and development. Incontemporary society, civilization is most divided into two kinds: material civilizationand spirit civilization.In the context of current subject division, mathematics refers to a kind of sciencewhich focuses on research of quantity, structure, variation and spatial model. The mainbranch of mathematics is pure mathematics and applied mathematics. People of alltime have been pursuing the cognation and deep research of the truth of mathematics,and this pursue has even run through the entire development of human society. Whatwe call mathematics features today can be summarized as below: abstractness,precision and widely application, with the first one being the most typical and mostessential one. When exploring mathematics questions, what we mustn’t forget is thevalue of mathematics, so what the present thesis concentrate on is also the positiveaffection of mathematics on ancient human civilization, Greek civilization and othersubjects, then we will go on to discuss its value for society and history.Generally, the deep meaning of human culture will always include humanthoughts, behavior pattern and historical concepts, and mathematics culture willundoubtedly play an important role for human civilization. In other words,mathematics culture will take a leading role to promote human civilization and willalso influence people’s world view, philosophy and core values. Also, the present thesis will take a deep look at education colleges and make adiscussion on how to integrate mathematics value and students’ mathematics feelingsinto the college education aiming at the the reality of the gap between mathematicsculture and skills...
