In marine seismic data acquisition, there are many types of noise such as swell noise,exogenous interference and multiples, etc. Seismic interference noise andneighborhood team interference show the feature of linear or hyperbola in shotgathers, their frequency bands are similar to source wavelet and amplitude level isthe same as primary, which makes a great degree of influence on the data, at thesame time which are also the most difficult ones to suppress. Exogenousinterference suppression plays an important role on marine seismic data processing,which directly influence on the following processing result and the accuracy ofseismic exploration.This paper discusses the generating mechanism of exogenous interference from itscharacteristics, and makes the suppression strategy of a step-by-step approach inmulti-step and multi-field. Firstly, according to the apparent velocity differencebetween linear exogenous interference and primary, the noise is suppressed inpositive and negative angle range with linear Radon transform. Regarding theneighborhood team interference with strong energy and the similarity of primary,the data is sorted from the shot gather to receiver gather, then the noise issuppressed based on its irregular abnormal amplitude in receiver gather with thecharacteristics that primary could be predicted in shot and receiver field, but theseismic interference noise with hyperbola only could be predicted in shot gather, notin common offset gather, which could be removed with F-X reconstruction. Thismethod could ensure the fidelity of seismic data processing, and the exogenousinterference suppression workflow is summed up.This paper shows an exogenous interference suppression technology and aprocessing sequence based on domestic GeoEast software platform, which aredeveloped for marine seismic data with strong exogenous interference. Tests resultsshow that the method of suppressing exogenous interference in this paper iseffective obviously and can keep the fidelity of seismic data. Also the processingcan be easily realized in practice.
