With the rapid development of aerospace technology, sensor technology and datacommunications technology, modern remote sensing has been entered to a dynamic,fast, multi-platform, multi-temporal, high resolution stage, which could provide datafor earth observation. Hence, higher spectral and spatial resolution data source has gotusers better appreciation.ZY-I-02C Satellite is the first one with high resolution for service which iscustomized according to land resource main business needs and has filled domesticgaps in terms of high resolution data resource. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluatethe quality and analyze the application potential of02C data, and then to provide afurther reference for developing high resolution satellite and improving satellite dataquality. In the meanwhile, the02C data would thereby play a great role in landresource business.This paper presents a combining of subjective and objective evaluation method,taking the information amount, clarity, dynamic range of gray, noise level, geometricdistortion, HR data connection, and the correlation between multi spectral, imagesynchronization, spectral characteristic and the ability to receive data intoconsideration, to analyze4group data as12scenes. The results indicate that thefourth set of data’s overall effect is more ideal. Furthermore, through the processing of02C data and carrying out comprehensive accuracy assessment, the suitable method ofgeometric correction and integration has been acquired. Result shows that when thenumber of control point is80in a single HR view data, the accuracy could basicallymeet research requirements, and the visual effects is best for Pansharp fusion. Theobject-oriented information extraction method is applied to acquire mine land area,and based on a large number of experiments, three segmentation scales of15,50and100is established by analyzing characteristics of various types of surface features. Inaddition, optimal membership function and classification rules are also be identified.This methodology is effective for extraction of land use information in mine area and the overall accuracy, kappa coefficient are88.38%,0.87, respectively. On the whole,the classification result is satisfactory. It shows that the02C data can be used toextract the target objects information.
