In recent years,exploration and evaluation works are mainly focusing on studingnew block, but less evaluations on old area and undeveloped formations. For heavy oilcompany in xinjiang oil field, because of shallow buried depth and poor seismic datamaking works hard, but those main formations, such as Qigu, Badaowan and Kexiaformations of heavy oil reservoir, with much experience while successor inadequate afterseveral decades exploitation, if a new oil&gas reservoir discoveried in the present wellspacing density, it will be worth exploration and having some advantages just at presenteconomic cost. In2012and2013, the study area had done oil production test in98501and98505respectively in Tugulu group, and the conclusion is oil. What’s the predictionin tugulu group and other formations in six block and nine block? So we have to studythe area and our main work is focusing on finishing evaluting the base of tugulu group insix and nine block. and then we can analysis the oil’s disatribution in potential area in thebase of tugulu group. At the same time,we have done some evaluantion at Jurassicxishanyao formation. To finish the main work,we can achive these results by way of thefollowing sequence:1)System layer in geological: because some research, in the early, just in a speciallayer in the study area, rather then contain all layers, so the rest layers’are blank, in thenew study we will do some work to cover all layers from the top of the carboniferous totugulu group in the base of the cretaceous in the Northwest Edge of Junggar Basin,suahas six block, nine block, keqian block, jian230block and gu16block., which based onanalysising the characteristics the logs. And then we can set up classification standard ofthe marer bed, and at last to do the system layer in geological.2)The origin analysis of the sand body: between the top of Qigu formation and baseof Tugulu group, there is a sand body which thickness is less than6meter,and its originis a question that is not clear, so we do some inference to make sure its affiliation.All the work makes the geological system layer more credible.3)Set up lithology and oil interpretation template: because of lacking of oil test data,we have to make use of core analysis, laboratory test, oil test datas and so on to make the interpretation template in our study area. At the end,we can make sure the low limit ofthe effective reservoir, and the standard of oil reservoir.4)Predicting the favorable areas: according to the onstruct favorable area, thefavorable areas of oil&gas gatherin of sendimentary facies belt and those reservoir ofbetter physical properties,we do some classification of the areas by these advantages andthen predict the favorable areas.5)Oil test in some old wells: well980510had done oil test but the result is drylayer, because the GR log is too high value which doesn’t take into accout, on the basisof summarizing the experience and lessons,we come up with some wells and their depthto do oil test.6)Geological reserves calculation: according to volumetric method and releavntparameters values,we can calculation the geological reserves of the interest interval in ourstudy area.
