The Finite Element Method of Lines (FEMOL), based on the Kantorovich method, is a semi-analytic method supported by solver of ordinary differential equations. Two methods both disperse for the physics district in one direction and apply analytical solution in another direction. FEMOL’s integration of the overall equations is a set of ordinary differential equations, but not a system of linear algebraic equations which often appears in the Finite Element Method. To solve a problem, FEMOL computes a set of ordinary differential equations by solver of ordinary differential equations under boundary conditions. As the solver of COLSYS is simple, fast and well compatible, the paper apply it to compute. Now FEMOL has been successfully used in solid mechanics and achieved gratifying results. Our research group have been working on the thermal analysis of FEMOL and obtained good results in the research of plane and axisymmetric problems. The results of numerical solution are agreed with analytical solution, and FEMOL provides a feasible method for solving the temperature distribution problem. This paper is based on the research about heat transfer of FEMOL by our research group. It first applies FEMOL to the analysis of three-dimensional temperature field and further broadens the application scope of FEMOL. It provides good theoretical basis and reference templates for further research about three-dimensional temperature field problem of FEMOL.Meanwhile, the professional procedure (TFEMOL) based on the thermal field of Finite Element Method of Line is compiled in this paper. TFEMOL is compiled with VC++and Fortran. Visual C++can create Graphical User Interfaces for MFC engineerings, show cloud pictures of the temperature field and the thermal fluid field in the process of post-processing, and output the relative calculation results of any point in man-machine interactive way. For the core part of thermal field computation, the procedure is compiled with Fortran which has great advantages in numerical calculation and matrix analysis. In addition, to broaden the applicability of TFEMOL, the procedure provides many data interfaces and calculation results can be post-processed by general post-processing software, such as Tecplot. Finally, the example shows the effectiveness of the calculation results of TFEMOL.
