With the increasing depth of exploration, the size of drilling equipment becomes larger and larger, and the labor intensity of operators also increases. Based on this case, the3500hydraulic drilling rig requires a shift pendulum tube device to reduce labor intensity as well as to transport drill fast and safely. In this paper, the racking pipe device has been designed with a determination of the parameters and the mode of the moving parts to guarantee the racking pipe device move smoothly and operate safely and reliably.In this paper the current research situation of drill operation system both at home and abroad has been introduced, the advantages and disadvantages of several typical drill operating systems have been analyzed and summarized in detail. Combining with the demand of the working conditions of the3500m hydraulic core drilling rig for swing shift system, the technical parameters of the swing shift bodies has been determined, the velocity of the system has been calculated and the detailed design of the mechanical hand has been carried out. Meanwhile, according the movements of the swing-shift pipe system, hydraulic circuit has been designed, the determination of hydraulic parameters and the advantages of load sensitive system as well as the choice of the hydraulic components have been discussed in detail. Thus, the design sketch of the swing-shift pipe system has been initially identified and the CAD drawings completed. Moreover, the sketch has been drawn with3D modeling software-solidworks. Based on this model, hydraulic simulation, mechanics simulation and dynamics simulation has been conducted.In the hydraulic simulation part, the Automation studio software has been introduced and the simulation steps of swing shift tube hydraulic system has been briefed, then, the simulation of hydraulic swing-shift pipe system has been conducted. Then determine the stability of the movement of the organs with the results of the simulation. Finally, the parameters of the hydraulic system have been determined.In the mechanics simulation part, the simulation of the case when the mechanical hand of the swing-shift pipe system holding2000kg drill-string and keeping still in the middle of the drilling hole has been conducted, carrying out the stress analysis, strain analysis and the total displacement analysis separately, and the stability of the swing-shift pipe system has been proved with the analysis result. The modal analysis of the body has also been conducted following that, which detailed the changes in type and frequency of vibration from stepl to step6, and then giving advices of the load frequency that should be avoided during production.In the dynamics simulation part, dynamics simulation theory has first been introduced and the contact problem between the mechanical hand and the drill-string has been discussed in detail, the detailed process of ADAMS simulation analysis has been given as well, which has certain references to subsequent studies. Finally by taking advantage of the post-function of ADAMS, the movement simulation of the swing-shift pipe has been observed. Meanwhile, combining with the curve of the post-figure, the contact problem between the mechanical hand and the drill string, the movement of the drill string and the movement of the telescopic arm has been analyzed in detail. Finally, the result of the simulation has been summarized and recommendations have been given for improvement.
