Yunnan, is located in the Southwest of Yunnan-Kweichow Plateau. Most areas in Yunnan province are located at subtropic climate area, only a minor part at tropical climate area. Yunnan, which were manifested in its physiographic and climate condition richly endowed by nature. To accommodate the most diverse plant species at Holarctic and Paleotropical zone in the transition zone, the annual climate is characterizes as obvious dry and wet seasons and small temperature difference. As the results of above reasons, different plants are gathering and communicating in there. Yunnan has the largest number of plant-species, which was regarded as "the plant kindom" Lincang is located in the Southwest of Yunnan province, and most of areas are intermontane basin. These basins contain a series of rich outcrops and abundant fossil plants, and are great significance for studying Cenozoic plants of China. The Miocene Bangmai Flora of Lincang in Yunnan, is more diversitified and unique. The investigation on these fossil plant species can provide important informations on the topics of " Climate Change in the Southwest of China" and " Formation of Moonson"This study compared the morphological and anatomical characters of Pinaceae and Cupressaceae s.l. fossils, assigned these fossil plants to their calid systematic positions and recognized their nearest living relative species. With the relationship of fossil species and their relative living species reconstructed the Miocene vegetation lanscape and paleoclimate. As we know, the species number of Pinaceae and Cupressaceae s.l. is more than one third of the gymnosperm. In this study, we compared the fossil species and their relative living species by their morphology and got some results as following:1) By the means,6species of6genera are indentified;2) Based on the fossil record and the molecular reaserch, suggested a possible paleoenvironmental conditions in the late Miocene at Lincang, indicated that the Miocene forest has the vertical variation and a simple multistratified structue, which are not similar to the modern subtropical boad-leaved evergreen forest vegetation in Lincang.
