Research area is located in Qilian fold system. Qilian fold system is the overlap zone of North China plate, Qaidam plate and Qilian plate. It is an important tectonic metallogenic belt in China. It has been found that copper, lead, zinc, chromium, tungsten, iron, gold, cobalt, manganese and other metal ore area more than260. Metal mineral ore rock in general can be divided into sedimentary metamorphic clastic rocks-carbonate rocks, ophiolite, related to island arc and back-arc basin volcanic sedimentary rock and the ductile shear deformation of metamorphic volcanic rocks. The iron ore studied in this paper is produced in the first category of Changcheng System Zhulongguan group Huashugou formation. The purpose of this article is on the basis of predecessors’research results, using the stratigraphy, petrology, mineral deposit and other comprehensive research methods systematic research ore deposits Occurrence Horizon and orebody characteristics of JingTieShan-Kawa area six iron ore iron. Summarizes the differences and similarities of the sequence and the ore bodies and to explain the causes, and finally forecasts the metallogenic potential of blank area and provide the reference for further edimentary metamorphic iron ore type ore-prospecting work. The main results obtained in this work are:1. Changcheng System Zhulongguan group Huashugou formation(Chhs) can be divided into two member. The upper member(Chhs1) is mainly carbonate rock. The lower member(Chhs2) are mainly slate, phyllite, shale, pyroclastic rocks, volcanic lava and iron ore body, form a transgression sequence, points out the lower member(Chhs2) is the target for fainding iron ore layer.2. The structure control the distribution of strata (including ore body) in the studied area, and influence the ore body thickness.So researchinng the region’s folds and fault’s sparameters is of great significance to prospecting ore deposite.3.By comparing we found that the northwest part of the first-order tectonic units is looking for big thickness iron ore.4.Through the study, Xiaoliugou iron ore, Jiapigou iron ore, Nineqingyang iron ore, Taligangou iron ore and Kawa iron ore are the neritic facies clastic rock carbonate sedimentary metamorphic iron ore deposit. They can be compared with Jingtieshan iron ore, for the next step prospecting have important guiding significance.
