Security assessment plays an important role in the production management of coalmine. Coal mine production system is an open, complex and dynamic system made upby “people-machine-environment-management”, that makes the coal mine accidentsdiverse and changeable. So, it is not easy to do the safety evaluation work. Somemethods about Security assessment have been developed by experts at home and abroad. But the method of security assessment being used presently can’t give accurate andobjective result according to the practical situation of coal mine, because it is affectedby subjective factor with the establishment of assessment index system and weight. Andmost of these methods are for static analysis, only little for dynamic, real-time,quantitative analysis. A new method based on computational experiments is put forwardin this paper to overcome the shortcomings mentioned. The method based on computation experiments is according to the basic principleof the Computational experiments. The parameters for the start of experiment comefrom the actual data, which make up the artificial objects. Simulation environment isbuilt by Agent modeling technology, that can make the results of the experimentdynamically and real-time. Some data produced in the experiment are stored in adatabase, experts can give an objective safety condition of coal mine by these datathrough the decision analysis model. In this paper, Security assessment is divided by hazard identification beforeaccident and Emergency Rescue Capability Assessment in accident. The method putforward by this paper can give a quantitative result of hazard properties, and anobjective assessment about Emergency Rescue Capability, which through theobservation of the developing situation of the accident. The method based on computational experiments is studied from a new perspectivewith some theoretical and practical significance.
