Gas is a combustible gas, which is generated by ancient plants in the complex geologicalchanges in the long geological age, the huge reserves in the world. Due to its characteristics offlammable and explosive, gas is considered one of danger in the coal main, which often burning orexplosion occurs, and pose a great threat to the safe production in mines. In recent years, because of nervousness about energy supply, the gas as the representative ofunconventional natural gas is more and more attention. Because of the distance between coalmethane and natural gas resources in areas with major consumer areas, the gas can be consumed andutilization after transport. Pipeline transportation pressure and high pressure tank storage pressure isalso rising as the market demand for natural gas continues to expand. If some unknown reason leak, the shock wave is generated under high pressure combustible gas injection process, and may beinduced to combustible gases ignite or explode under certain conditions. Therefore, it is necessary tostudy the phenomenon of spontaneous combustion, in high pressure combustible gas leak, forproviding technical guidance and theories basis.Based to the theory in the paper, several waves of the relationship is established, theexperimental model was established, in the ideal gas state. Spontaneous combustion experimentplatforms are being built up to the shock tube as the core of high-pressure gas leak, which includes agas distribution system, the shock tube systems and data measurement and acquisition system. Underdifferent conditions, a series of experimental studies have been carried out, and a large number ofvalid data were obtained, were analyzed the impact of various operating conditions on the shockwave propagation and gas self-ignition law. Results show that there is a discrete state for the phenomenon of success spontaneouscombustion, the occurrence of the phenomenon of spontaneous combustion has a great chance andrandomness. The shock wave propagation process in the pipeline is a non-isentropic processes, overpressure declining with the increase of propagation distance, propagation velocity are reduced.Downstream discharge pipe diameter, cross-section shape and the presence of hydrogen have amajor impact on the spontaneous combustion.
