In the city sewage treatment plant is commonly used in biological nitrogen andphosphorus removal technology, with the simultaneous removal of C, N, P and theprocessing cost is low advantage, but ammonia nitrification and phosphorus removalbiological treatment is still the bottleneck. In our country the city sewage treatmentrate is low, investment limited context, how to improve the sewage treatmentbiological nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency and operation stability, is oneof the most urgent problems in environmental studies. How to save energy conditions,to maximize the biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal, effectively reducenitrogen, phosphorus content in water pollution control has become an importantresearch content.In this paper the step-feed biological nitrogen removal process characteristics aredescribed in detail, and to use the process of a large-scale city sewage treatment plantas a productive research base, through the sewage treatment plant upgrade before andafter upgrading process operating characteristic were compared, and the city of BOD5in polluted water, CODCr, SS, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen and total phosphorus,six indicators of removal efficiency for data analysis, summed up the step-feedbiological nitrogen removal process advantages, and the main city sewage pollutantsremoval efficiency are analyzed.Research results show that: the step-feed biological nitrogen removal processwith biological phosphorus removal technology, the former in the removal of BOD5,CODCr, SS based on ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen removal effect is superiorthan the latter; step-feed biological nitrogen removal process and biological nitrogenremoval technology for biological removal of phosphorus and nitrogen are compared,the former in the removal of BOD5, CODCr, SS, ammonia based on total nitrogenremoval effect is superior to the latter two, and step-feed biological nitrogen removalprocess does not need to set up the internal recirculation system in energy saving, somore than the biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal technology.In this paper, according to the results of this study are suggested, the city sewageplant stable operation has certain guiding significance.
