Organotin carboxylate has been widely applied in catalysts, heat stabilizer,agricultural chemicals, antifouling paints and wood preservatives and so on. Itssynthesization, structure, bactericidal and anti-cancer biological activity has becomea hot research area in recent years. Experimental results show that the properties oforganotin carboxylates is closely related to its structural configuration, and itsstructure was decided by the conditions of reaction, types of alkyl tin and carboxylicacid ligands. Therefore, it is very important to explore the conditions of synthesisreaction, structural characteristics and properties.In this article,23sterically hindered organotin dicarboxylates compounds,19ofwhich have not been reported, have been synthesized by the reaction of two teeth ormore ligands of dicarboxylic acids with alkyl tin;19crystal structures of the23compounds have been determined by X-ray diffraction, and18crystallographic datashave not been reported. All compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H NMR and so on. The article has been organized as following:1、 The a1-a5compounds have been synthesized by the reaction of thestraight-chain dicarboxylic acids H2L1[HOOC(CH2nCOOH, n=2,3,4,5,6] withbis{tris[(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyl]tin} oxide and the a6compounds have beensynthesized by the reaction of the camphoric acid H2L2with bis{tris[(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyl]tin} oxide. The a7-a12and a13compounds have been synthesized bythe reaction of the straight-chain dicarboxylic acids H2L1[HOOC(CH2nCOOH, n=2,3,4,5,6,7] and camphoric acid H2L2with cyhexatin. Molecular structure ofcomplexes a1-a5、a7、a10-a13have been determined.2、The b1-b4compounds have been synthesized by the reaction of the fourpyridinedicarboxylic acid H2L3(2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid,3,5-pyridinedicarbo-xylic acid,2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid,2,3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid) withbis{tris[(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyl]tin} oxide. The b5and b9、b6and b10、b7、b8compounds have been synthesized by the reaction of the H2L3with cyhexatin.Molecular structure of complexes b2-b10have been determined.3、The complexes a1、a7、b4、b8conducted theoretical chemistry calculation.The15compounds a4、a5、a10-a13、b1-b4、b6-b10have been investigated by thermalgravimetric analysis.4、The bactericidal activities of the13organotin dicarboxylates compounds a4、 a5、a7、a10、a11、a12、b1-b5、b7、b8with staphyloccocus aureus、bacillus subtilis、escherichia coli、salmonellatyphi have been studied.
