With the rapid development of economy in our country, adhesive technology has beenapplicated more extensive. In order to achieve more efficient environmental protectionproducts, the higher requirements of the comprehensive properties are put forward.Traditional acrylics adhesive mainly choose methyl methacrylate as monomer, which has lowboiling point and high odor, which seriously affected the application in practice. Low odor,high performance acrylics adhesive has great significance for environmental protection andeconomic development.Second generation acrylics adhesive (SGA) is a good performance adhesive, comprisedby acrylics monomer or prepolymer, polymer elastomer, initiator, accelerator and someadditives. Epoxy methacrylate and tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate constitute the main bodyof the adhesive, using chlorosulfonated polyethylene as elastomer and calcium carbonatewhisker as reinforcing filler in this paper. A new type of low smell room temperature curingtwo-component acrylate adhesive was made.Epoxy methacrylate molecular structure contains double bond,which could initiatepolyreaction under radical intitator. Mix the novel acrylics and epoxy methacrylate together.Both advantages were kept,short comings were overcomed,The brittleness under lowtemperature of epoxy methacrylate was improved.The paper synthesized epoxy methacrylate, studied the influence of reactiontemperature and charge ratio, and then characterized the epoxy methacrylate by IR.Proportion and dosage of the acrylics and epoxy methacrylate was studied in this Paper; theeffect of oxidation-reduction reactive system on curing time,tensile strength,heat resistance,water resistance and storage stability were studied in this paper. We characterized themechanical properties, heat resistance and water resistance, fracture surface morphology ofthe adhesive by universal material testing machine,TG, DSC, SEM, electronic microscope andIR etc.The types and content of prepolymer, active monomer, initiator, accelerator andcoupling agent, filler and inhibitor were determined. The positioning time of adhesive is5minutes, it can achieve maximum tensile strength of24.47MPa afer24hours and has goodwater resistance, heat resistance and good oil surface bonding performance.
