Pyrolysis process is the basis of coal chemical reaction while the important way with high efficiency and low pollution of low-rank coal. Research the pyrolytic properties has an important significance for pyrolysis mechanism and hot working process optimization.This paper studied the pyrolysis process of Ningdong Qeergou,Sanghaimiao,Yangchangwan coal,using an upgrading method of lowering the temperature and slowing down the heating rate. Three kinds of Ningdong coal were utilized as subjects in orthogonal experimental, a significant analysis of factors influencing the pyrolysis process was carried out and analysis the significance through analysis the obtained data from orthogonal experimental; Further more, TG-DTG experiment to study the influence of coal particle size, heating temperature and heating rate for pyrolysis process.According to design orthogonal experiment can draw the four factors and three levels orthogonal table,using an method of low temperature pyrolysis experiment with orthogonal experiment. Utilizing the method of range analysis and variance analysis to analysis the experimental data, a significant analysis of factors influencing the pyrolysis process was carried out and the optimum pyrolysis conditions were determined:Shanghaimiao coal in terms of species,20℃/min of heating rate and800℃of pyrolysis temperature.Three kinds of Ningdong coal were with the TG-DTG method for pyrolysis experiment of lowering the temperature and slowing down the heating rate, focuses on the influence of coal particle size, heating temperature and heating rate for pyrolysis process. By thermal decomposition weightlessness rate as examining indexes we can draw the conclusion:To gain the best result, heating rate should be carefully figured out according to each coal’s unique characteristic;temperature is the most important factor in terms of process conditions of coal pyrolysis,affecting the formation of not only the primary decomposition products but also the volatile matters produced in the secondary reaction;it could be concluded that a small particle size of coal should be employed in low-rank coal pyrolysis experiment.
