Synthesis conditions and doping has great influence on luminescence performance of nanoscale ZnS materials. By tracking the influence of synthesis conditions and doping on the luminescence performance of nanoscale ZnS materials, to optimize the luminescence performance of this nanoscale materials has a strong practical significance. At the same time, a better understanding on the luminescence performance of nanoscale materials can be achieved. In this paper, zinc-blende structure oxygen doped ZnS nanaoparticles, Chlorine doped ZnS nanoparticles was synthesized by low temperature solid state reaction method, characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), PL spectra, and using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to analyze their surface morphology, thus to study the role of reaction temperature, reaction time, atmosphere and doping played on affecting the luminescence performance, the main results are as follows:(1) Finding the best synthesis conditions for ZnS:O nanaoparticles is in the130℃take a reaction for3hours in vacuum; the best annealing conditions is in the100℃annealed for30min in Ar atmosphere.(2) During synthetizing ZnS:Cl nanoparticles, finding when the proportional content of NH4Cl is0.06, it has best luminescence performance, through XPS, confirming the proportional content of Cl in ZnS:Cl nanoparticle is5.6%; when annealed in the110℃in the air, finding the best duration is30min.
