In recent years, with the expansion of the city, the economic growth and the rapid increase in population, urban noise pollution is getting worse,which has become one of "Big Four Public Nuisance" of the urban environment and attracted much attention.Due to the improvement of people’s material and spiritual life,more and more people desire a quiet and comfortable living and working environment.It strengthens the prevention and control of noise pollution, and improves the quality of urban noise environment,which is an inevitable requirement of social development.Therefore,the study of urban noise environmental function zoning is essential.In this study,noise unit was divided according to the technical specifications to determinate the suitable areas for environmental noise of urban area. Noise unit zoning category was determined by the method of the technical specifications; The study focused on the noise unit which can not be determined the type in the technical specifications,it proposed the classification method which gray clustering model was adopted to divide the noise unit type.In view of the difficult problem that how to compute gray clustering model in GIS,the method "Split-Combination" was proposed and it provides a more comprehensive and systematic zoning method for urban noise environmental function zoning.The main researchh results are:(1) Study on noise unit type:GIS technology used to input and store data, give the noise unit attributes.The combining method of technical specifications and gray clustering model determined the noise element type.(2) Study on the index system:Combining the actual situation of the noise environment of the study area,the gray clustering model evaluation index system was established which include four indicators:first-class district of land rate, commercial land rate,the value of noise equivalent A-weighted sound pressure level and the ratio of the reflect number of Interference events to noise source.(3) Study on Gray clustering model:Noise unit was taken as the clustering object,the study uses AHP to determine the weight of each index and divides gray class for four indicators by gray clustering method,it has ultimately set up of gray clustering model for the first-second class mixed noise unit.(4) Model implementation technology reseach:Using GIS spatial analysis tools realized the computing of model in noise unit and formed the integrated technology system achieving to gray clustering model, including GIS vector techniques and spatial analysis techniques. The "Split-Combination" method of using GIS technology to programm instead of gray clustering model calculation was proposed and solved the difficult problem of using individually gray clustering model difficult to list calculated, it has certain innovative. (5) Application of the model:The study takes JieXiu city of Shanxi as an example, using the method proposed in this paper,carried out the noise environmental function zoning study on Jiexiu city and determined the type of function zoning.76noise units were divided into frist class zone,12noise units were divided iato second class zone,12noise units were divided into third class zone, urban rail and the side areas of road were determined fourth class zone.The paper provides a sound basis and technical support for the noise pollution prevention and control of Jiexiu city, but also supplies some reference value and significance for the noise function zoning of other cities and counties.
