Aryl carbon-nitrogen bond, aryl carbon-sulfur bond is widely presentin many natural products, drugs and electronic materials, so it is veryimportant to find a method to conform aryl carbon-nitrogen bond and arylcarbon-sulfur bond. Therefore, the research is topic of chemists.Copper-catalyzed Ullmann reactions are traditional methods tosynthesize these compounds. In this report, we have researched the reactionconditions such as bases, ligands, copper reagents, solvents, temperatures, theratio of copper reagents and ligands etc., and found an effective catalyticsystem is: p-Bromoacetophenone (1eq), imidazole (1.2eq),Cs2CO3(2eq),CuI(0.1eq), ligand(0.2eq), temperature (120℃) and DMSO(2ml). Comparedwith the classical Ullmann coupling reaction, our catalyst system has alower reaction temperature and less cost when using CuI as catalyst. Moreover, cysteine was employed instead of the toxically phosphine ligands...
