In this paper, a new basic ionic liquid choline hydroxide (CH) was prepared, andthe supported material was used for the direct synthesis of dimethyl carbonate frommethanol and CO2. The results show that the preparation process of the ionic liquid issimple and it shows effectively catalysis. It can catalysis synthesize of dimethylcarbonate under mild conditions. The ionic liquid is basic, so that it is good for fixationand conversion of CO2.The effect of various reaction conditions on was investigated,such as amount of ionic liquid, reaction time, reaction temperature and initial pressure.And the optimal reaction conditions for the system was obtained: amount of the ionicliquid8g, reaction temperature140℃, reaction time6h, initial pressure3MPa. Underthese conditions, the yield of dimethyl carbonate is0.52%, and the selectivity is95.22%.Furthermore,according to the previously reported literatures, as well as theexperimental results obtained in this case, the reaction mechanism of DMC synthesisfrom CO2and methanol was proposed.Besides, in the process of synthesis of dimethyl carbonate, dimethoxymethane hashigh selectivity. The synthesis of dimethoxyethane has also reported in the previousliteratures. Therefore studied the reaction of methanol and one-step synthesis ofdimethoxymethane in the basic ionic liquid BmimOH. In the solution,dimethoxymethane was synthesized. By studying on the amount of ionic liquid, reactiontime, initial pressure and reaction temperature for producing dimethoxymethane, theoptimal operational conditions was obtained: amount of the ionic liquid6g, reactiontime6h, reaction temperature150℃, initial pressure3MPa.1.5%yield and52%selectivity of DMM are achieved under the optimal conditions. |
