Now,die commercialization has become very mature, it is extremely important for theestimation of forging die wear and cost. It helps to reduce rejection rate、prolong life ofdie、reduce cost of die、improve the quality of the part、reduce cost of production that thecore technology research of estimation of forging die wear and cost.Purpose of the thesis is to find out the core technology research of estimation offorging die wear and cost,thus extending the service life of the forging die and reducingthe cost of the die.Describes the model for die wear estimation and related parameters,and through theanalysis of the original model of wear,the new model of wear is obtained,for evaluation ofthe actual wear of the model.Besides,the basic concepts and theories of finite element,finite element method in plastic forming and structural analysis of finite elementsimulation system are briefly discussed.The finite element analysis in forming processapplication is described in detail by a simple analysis of the forging die about spring pad.Based on the software of Deform-3D,relationship between different initial hardnessof the forging die and die wear is analyzed and the curve between initial hardness of thedie and die wear is obtained by changing the initial hardness of the die.Relationshipbetween different initial temperature of the forging die and die wear is analyzed and thecurve between initial temperature of the die and die wear is obtained by changing theinitial temperature of the die.Relationship between different lubrication conditions of theforging die and die wear is analyzed and the curve between fraction factors and die ware isobtained by changing the lubrication conditions of the die.Through analysis andcomparison,the calculation process of die wear is summarized on the basis of previousstudies,it can be used to guide the assessment of die wear.The development of the die manufacturing is described in brief and two methods ofdie machining are compared.The research methods and verify the result of the Knight’scost model are described,Some parameters of the Knight’s cost model are corrected andthe research methods of revised cost model is analyzed and validated.In addition,several ways to reduces the cost of the die are explored,the surfacetreatment of the die and,the use of the die and the maintenance of the die are introduced.Through analysis of the core factors the affect the die wear, it is found that therelationship between the die wear and the core factors affecting it and the formula of die life calculation is obtained. Based on the analysis of the Behrens’ model,get the wearmodel for estimating of the model die, providing a theoretical basis to reduce die wear.Anew cost model of die is derived based on the Knight’s cost model,providing an analysismethod for estimation of die cost.At the same time,the core technology of estimation ofthe forging die wear and cost is prospected.
