Along with economic development and social progress, urbanization developmentin our country entered a fast lane. In the process of urbanization, a large number ofemerging urban constructions promoted the urban function and promoted theleap-forward development of cities. However, because of the expansion of large-scaleconstruction, there are all kinds of problems in the emerging urban areas. For example, ilack of water resources is an inevitable reality. As an example of a new urban area in xi ’an, the paper analyzes the shortage of thesurface water and poor quality of groundwater resources in the course of the urbanconstruction. And it is put forward that urban sewage regeneration can solve the waterdemand of industry, family flushing, municipal miscellaneous, landscaping and firereserves as alternative sources. As the result, the enhanced coagulation process anddispersed-ozone flotation (DOF) process is constructed in the way of recycled waterprocessing system of the two parallel groups,10000m3/d sewage treatment facilities andmatching pipe network system is constructed. The results of this project implementation shows the effluent water quality of thesystem is good, especially dispersed-ozone floatation is better than enhancedcoagulation in the aspect of the removal of water color, smell, NH3-N and iron, manganese ion, the effluent water quality completely meets the demand as the fillingwater in boiler system and the industrial circulating cooling water, and satisfy thereclaimed water user requirements for various purposes. Project implementationimproved the urban ecological environment, water shortage, and realized the diversityof sewage recycling, and achieved good environmental benefit, economic benefit and social benefit. It can be referred to the construction of urban sewage reuse project toemerging urban areas in the northwest region.
