Analysis On The Present Situation Of Water Pollution In Small Towns In China And The Relevant Ways To Improve The Situation

With the rapid development of urbanization,the small towns in China aredeveloping at a speed unheard-of before. But the protection of the ecological systemin small towns isn’t promoted at the same time, resulting in serious water pollutioneverywhere.This thesis mainly studies the current situation of water pollution and the reasonsof pollution of small towns in China by using comprehensive evaluation method,andthen we can look for the effective processes to improve the water environment. Thepurpose of this study is to provide objective and exact basis for how to project watersupply and drainage infrastructure,how to choose suitable wastewater treatmentprocess,and how to control the water pollution more effectively.And in order to achievethat we should classify all the small towns at different principles first.Firstly,we discuss the research backdrop,that include the related condition ofurbanization, the influence to small towns’ water environment of urbanization, theimportance of governing the small towns’ water environment and the latest researchsituation at home and abroad.Then,through the detailed research of existing literature and the vast fieldinvestigation, we classify all small towns into4classifications.And the classification ofwater shortage degree is carried out in this study by using comprehensive evaluationmethod and taking per capita available amount of water resources, per capita amount ofwater supplied, per unit area available amount of water resources, and per unit GDPavailable water resources as indicators.According to that,water sufficient district,fragiledistrict,water deficit district and serious defict district are identified. On the other hand,according to the source of water pollution,we classify all smalltowns into4classifications,including agriculturetype, industrytype,domestic sewage,synthetical type.Next we combine above two methods together and analyse every typeapart.Finally,according to the different reasons and characteristics,we can schemesuitable plan to lighten the water pollution about agriculturetype, industry-type,domestic sewage,synthetical type, mainly including sewage disposal technology,municipal construction, wastewater reuse system, water saving technology and so on.
