With the development of the ultra-precision machining technology, the demand formeasuring instrument’ manufactural precision level is higher and higher. Especiallyfor the revolving parts in high precision level. This makes improving the shaft rotatingto satisfy part’s processing requirements and ensure the accuracy of measurementresults under the limit state a challenging topic. Moreover, due to the manufacture ofshafting components itself is under a state of extreme precision. Simply by onlyimprove the machining precision of shafting parts to ensure that is difficult to work.Precision spindle, especially aerostatic shaft’s rotating error is relatively constant systemerror under certain working conditions. This makes nanoscale measurement of precisionshafting rotating error becomes a key to increase the shafting rotating accuracy andensure rotating error separation and compensation.According to aerostatic shaft, this paper proposed a new rotating errormeasurement principle, two kinds of calculation model are introduced. Base on the testsample’s morphology data, proceed motion feature analysis. Put forward a method thatevaluate the spindle’s axis path. According to this measurement principle calculate therotary error.According to the feature of shaft rotating error. Study the periodical signal of theshaft rotating error. Fourier polynomial is used to describe the periodical signalfunction.Particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the rotatry axis’smulti-parameter optimization problem. Programming a software which calculate thecenter of rotary. Combine with image processing method to solve the solution of therotary center. Solution of the rotating error finally changed into a multi-parameteroptimization problem. Through test function to determine PSO’s parameters. Use VC++2010and Matlab programming corresponding software.Design the rotating error measurement test. Set up the experiment system based onAFM and optical system. Use least squares method to evaluate the rotating error ofspindle. And prove the availability of the measuring principle by the experiment results.
