As the application of the composite material in our life grows, it’s more andmore important to lucubrate the mechanical property of it. Of all the study of themechanical property of the composite material, its compression property is the mostsignificant branch. Since there are so many influences on the compression test ofcomposite material, how to get the relevant specifications of the compressionproperty accurately and effectively seems very critical.Focusing on the Carbon fibers reinforced plastics composites, the articleanalyses three kinds of loading methods of compressive test. Compared thoseloading method by test and numerical simulation, we chose the most suitable fixtureto do the compression test.By analyzing the data of the compressive test, some of the influences on thecompressive test of composite material are proposed. Then, they are confirmed innumerical simulation by finite element software Abaqus.On these foundations, acoustic emission technique is used to monitoring thewhole process of the compressive failure test. Combining the acoustic emission datawith the result of the compression test, the evolutionary process which is dividedinto different stages about how the composite material fails is presented.
