| Zhoucun reservoir is located at the intersection of Shizhong Distrit, ShantingDistrct, Zaozhuang City and Cangshan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province.Because of cage culture carried out years earlier and large-scale poultry farming by theresident living near the upstream of the Zhoucun reservoir, as the water resourcereservoir of Shizhong District, it is polluted seriously. A series of conclusion weredrawn by means of monitoring and analysis of the change law and evaluation of waterquality of upstream and reservoir water-body besides physicochemical and oxygenconsumption properties of the sediments and simulation of the pollutants released fromthe sediments.(1) Assessment of water quality of three upstream and water-body of Zhoucunreservoir was processed by comprehensive water quality identification index.Genarally speaking, water quality of Xijia river and Xiashi river could meet thedemand of third class water except one or two index value sometimes during9monthsof monitering of water quality in2012. Xuwa river was polluted seriously, thecomprehensive water quality couldn’t meet the demand of third class water on Aprial,August, November and December, one or two index value exceeded the standandsometimes, in addition, concentration of TP of Xuwa river couldn’t meet the demandof third class water during the whole monitoring period. Comprehesive water qualityof surface water of Zhoucun reservoir ccould meet the demand of third class waterexcept one or two water quality index sometimes during the whole monitoring period.With the increasement of water depth, the number of water quality index exceptCODMnexceeding the standard got more, the overlying water of the sediment couldn’t meet the demand of fifth class water, especially in summer.(2) Change law of water quality of three upstream and reservoir water-body wasanalysised preliminary. The water quality change of upstream had a close relationshipwith the rain fall capacity. The water quality change of reservoir water-body during thewhole monitering period could be generally divided into three stages, from the middleten days of April to the middle ten days of July when the first lage-scale rain fallfinished, the water quality change of this period was due to biological and chemicalreaction resulted by acceleration of oxygen uptake rate because of raise of watertemperature and mass propagation of algae because of the raise of water temperatureand enhanced illumination. From the last ten days of July to the last ten days ofSeptember, increasement of runoff because of the continuous rainfall led to theformation of undercurrent, which played a major role in the water quality change ofreservoir water-body during this period, as the concentration of substance undercurrentcontained was different from that the reservoir contains, however, differentconcentration would lead to the formation of phenomeno of diffusion. From the firstten days of October to the last ten days of November, substance water contained tendedto be equally distributed because of the reduction of water temperature and mixtureresulted by the wind, finally the substance was equally distributed.(3) Analysis of the sediment property and simulation of the potential ofcontaminat release were carried out making use of the sediment from Zhoucunreservoir. Endogenous pollution of Zhoucun reservoir was very serious compared withother reservoirs of our country due to a great quantity of organic substance andphosphorus it contained, pollutants release was the main way for the nitrogen,phosphorous, iron ion and manganese entering into the overlying water. |
