The typical woolen sweater system in the foreign is STOLL-MlPlus system and SHIMASEIKI-SDS-ONE system which support three dimensional dynamic fitting. The system in our country main is FUYI, CAILU, PENGMA and so on. There are no big difference in the function, but have big gap with the foreign design system. Most of the software can calculate knitting technology only based on the existing styles and the relevant specification, but pay no attention to the function of innovated woolen sweater design. So, It is difficult to design innovatively on the available woolen sweater design software. But personalized styles design of woolen sweater is an urgent need to resolve.In order to solve this problem, this article combining the theory and practice makes beneficial exploration on the woolen sweater styles diagram design aspect. Firstly the article summarized the relevant theory researches of the expert and scholars home and aboard, then put forward its purpose point and find out the solution ways. After that the article analyzed the function of styles design and system structure of one woolen sweater design software, put forward some improvement methods which was mainly aiming at the complicated operation process when design the styles and the Insufficient function of modification details, such as integrating styles design function, adding operational tools of the diagram. Then build the mathematical model of basic woolen sweater, analyzed mathematic relation between the Contour point and dimensions, summarized concrete drawing method of each position, established the relation of woolen sweater styles diagram and dimension process, designed the database model of styles. At last, based on the object-oriented design philosophy and design principle of woolen sweater styles diagram, systematically introduced the entire architecture and design principle of this task developed woolen sweater styles diagram design software.The system made use of modularized design philosophy divided into5modules, style design module, dimension control module, dimension measure module, aided design module and database module.
