The industrial sewing machines are the major production equipments of clothingindustry and their working conditions determine the quality and efficiency of garment sewingto a large extent. The industrial sewing machine has a large number of mechanisms andcomplex components,each of which is related closely to the overall performance of thesewing machine.The mechanism transmission systems are introduced briefly in GD2308high speedtacking industrial sewing machine. In the current experimental conditions,vibration and noiseare tested and analyzed to identify the main vibration source,so as to provide a basis forfurther analysis of appropriate parts and structure improvement. According to the signalanalysis results of vibration and noise,we can see that the main influencing factor is presserfoot of the sewing machine.By studying on the contemporary production of this field, the finite element method istaken to build the model. In order to assure the validity of this model, the key part is analyzedthoroughly during the model building. For vibration and noise reduction of industrial sewingmachines, based on the structure characteristic and working performance,the finite element(FM) model of the presser foot of the GD2308high speed tacking industrial sewing machineis established by using CATIA, the model is meshed by using ANSYS for finite elementanalysis, and the dynamic characteristic of presser foot is analyzed. The first ten naturalfrequencies and the first six vibration modes of the presser foot are given. The output ofcomputation shows that the vibration modes of the presser foot are mainly bending, twisting,and their combination, the dynamic analysis of the presser foot may predict the faults instructural design. According to the results of modal analysis,based on the theory ofoptimization design,with the structure and main function,the presser foot is optimized afterobjective functions and constraint conditions were determined,which lay a foundation foreffectively improving the structural rigidity and radiated noise of the sewing machine.A summary is made to the research work,and some ideas are put forward on the furtherresearch.
