With the high-speed development of economy、the rapid improvement of civil life andthe incessant speedup of city course, the total yield of municipal solid wastage(MSW) peryear is rapidly increased. There are four main ways to dispose MSW, that is sanitary fill、MSW compost、MSW combustion and synthetically use, the disposal technology of municipalsolid waste combustion has been applied in large or middle size city, because it has the uniqueadvantage of reducing capacity、being harmless to healthy and utilizing resource.So far, SITY2000municipal solid wastage (MSW) boiler has been widely applied inChina. Specific to the operational state of a SITY2000600t/d MSW boiler in Dongguan, thispaper makes some adjustments in order to seek for the optimal operational state of this type ofMSW boiler in incinerating the household garbage in Dongguan.Through the preliminary test, this paper makes adjustment tests on the adjustable factorsthat may have influences on the performance of MSW boiler, including primary air low,secondary air flow, primary air ratio, feeding speed and the running speed of grate separately,so as to analyze the influence of the change of a single factor on the performance of MSWboiler. By the comparison and selection based on the preliminary experimental analysis, thefactors with decisive influence which can be analyzed quantitatively are selected as theadjustment factors, including the oxygen content, primary air flow and primary air ratio.Three different values of these three factors are adopted in the adjustment tests of combustion.To reduce the number of tests, the representative matches are retained to conduct testsaccording to orthogonal experiment design table.The test results focus on the influence of each adjustment factor on the performance ofthe boiler, including the carbon contents of fly ash and slag, ignition loss of slag and theemission load of NOX, SO2, HCl and other pollutants. From the perspectives of environmentprotection, economy and stability, the optimal adjustment scheme for SITY2000600t/d MSWboiler is designed by comparison based on the present components of garbage.
