This paper, the method of chemical modification introduced in the epoxy molecules with a hydrophilic group or a surface-active molecular chains, was prepared epoxy resin system, which was prepared a variety of high stability and fine-dispersed particles and particle diameter distribution is more uniform epoxy resin emulsion. Describes various factors such as types of modified agents, material ratio, reaction temperature and reaction time that to influence on the stability of epoxy emulsion.Because water glass acid-resistant materials has poor resistance to permeability and dilute acid, collapsibility and easy cracking, so that was serious to influence its service life. Through a lot of experimental and theoretical analysis, this paper systematically studied the influence of the waterborne epoxy resin emulsion on the mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and the penetration resistance of the modified water glass. The emulsions prepared according to a certain percentage of various epoxy resins added to water glass to improve its mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and penetration resistance. Studied the influence of epoxy resin emulsion, adding ratio and other factors on the stability of mixed system, mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and anti-penetration properties.Using infrared spectrum to characterize the chemical structure of the modified epoxy resin; Using centrifuge to characterize the stability of epoxy resin emulsion and the system of epoxy resin/water glass; Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to observe the section morphology of modified water glass; By universal tensile machine studied the solidification material mechanical strength; The micro porous structure of modified water glass were determined.The results show that:the anionic and nonionic epoxy resin emulsion that prepared by test have best compatibility with water glass, but cationic epoxy resin emulsion is incompatible with water glass. By adding epoxy resin emulsion, the mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, permeability resistance of water glass concrete were significantly improved, when the amount was up to20%, the tensile strength of the system increased from3.5MPa to4.8MPa, increased by37.1%; the flexural strength from6.3MPa to7.7MPa, increased by22.2%; compressive strength from26.3MPa to33.2MPa, increased by26.2%. In addition, micro pore porosity reached0.84, the micro porous of system was dominant, and performance for the system anti-permeability compared with ordinary water glass concrete material was significantly improved.Epoxy resin/water glass composite system combined with all the advantages of epoxy resin and water glass concrete material, and has a unique advantage in acid and alkali resistance, strengthening and toughening, high permeability. Based on modified epoxy resin was uniformly mixed with water glass, using the characteristics of the cross-linking curable epoxy group formation a three-dimensional network structure, to cooperate with process of water glass curing, achieved to enhance and toughen and improve its mechanical strength and mechanical properties of traditional water glass anti-corrosion materials, finally got a new generation of polymer-inorganic functional composite coating reinforced concrete materials. Expected to be used more widely in the chemical industry, papermaking, pharmaceutical, food, metallurgy, electric power industry infrastructure projects and antiseptic container (groove, tank, pool, tower) as structural material and anti-corrosion materials.
