There has been significant interest in recent years in the study of amides asalternative extractants, especially in the field of extraction and separation. Amideshave been proposed as promising extraxtants to organophosphorus extractants. Incomparison with traditional phosphorus-containing extractants, the products ofradiolytic and hydrolytic degradation of amides are less detrimental to the separationprogress. In addition, their complete incinerability helps in reducing the secondarywaste in accordance with the CHON principle. The ether oxygen bond (C-O-C) in3-oxy-diglycolamide is a flexible bond and the oxygen of alkoxyl group can formfive-membered ring with the oxygen of carbonyl group and metal ion. Thus3-oxy-diglycolamides have a good extraction capacity for rare earth ionss. So thedesign and synthesis of bicycle diamides based on3-oxy-diglycolamides will be thefocus in the future. Solvent extraction and the technological process play an importantrole in nuclear fuel reprocessing and hydrometallurgy process, however, there areonly a few papers that studied the extraction of rare earth ions from hydrochloric acidmedium by3-oxy-diglycolamides. And fewer studies about the synthesis of amideextractants using microwave or ultrasonic were reported. In this paper, we designed anovol bicycle diamide extractant(3,6-diallyl-2,7-dinitrogen-bicyclic [4.4.0] decane-1,8–diketone) with special structure and synthesizec some intermediates by untrasonic. In addition, we studied the extraction behaviors of Nd(Ⅲ), Dy(Ⅲ) and Yb(Ⅲ) fromhydrochloric acid medium with N,N,N’,N’-tetra(2-ethylhexyl)-3-oxy-glutaramide.The main contents were as follows:1. A novel bicycle diamide and its synthetic route were designed. In this paper, some intermediates of the target product were synthesized by ultrasonic. At the sametime, N,N,N’,N’-tetra(2-ethylhexyl)-3-oxy-glutaramide was synthesized. Thesecompounds have characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectrum, high performance liquid and other detecting methods. 2. The influence of hydrochloric acid concentration, extractants concentrationand temperature on distribution ratio of extraction of Nd(Ⅲ), Dy(Ⅲ) and Yb(Ⅲ) bytetraisooctyl-3-oxy-glutaramide (T2EHDGA) were investigated in n-dodecane andn-octane. The extraction ratio increased with the concentration of hydrochloric acid orextractant increasing. But the ratio decreased when the temperature raised, whichindicated the extraction reactions were exothermic.3. The extraction of Nd(Ⅲ), Dy(Ⅲ) and Yb(Ⅲ) using T2EHDGA in differentdiluents from a certain concentration of hydrochloric acid was studied. The resultsindicated diluent can affect the ratio of the extraction, the polarity of the diluent canchange the extracted compounds, which influence the extraction mechanism.
