Excellent performance of industrial catalyst for Polypropylene is subject to the carrier, especially to the concentration of catalyst carrier. The particle size distribution of Polypropylene catalyst carrier produced by Sinopec Catalyst Company is0.5-120μm. This paper on the basis of the original process put forward a process route:firstly, remove the particles large than95μm from the product, and then remove the particles less than15μm from the product. What’s more, we developed the process equipment that can implement the process route. The main results are as follows:(1)Developed the95μm classification hydrocodone. In the process of development, first of all, according to the theory of hydrocyclone separation, identified the basic structure of the95μm classification hydrocyclone. Then used the method of computational fluid dynamics to optimize the structural parameters and investigate the classification performance. And then by the classification monomer experiment, confirmed the classification results removing the particles large than95μm met the requirements of the high quality Polypropylene catalyst carrier. Finally, according to the industry production, equipped the industrial scale production device with95μm classification hydrocyclone.(2)Developed the15μm classification hydrocodone.
