| Powder coatings as a kind of environment-friendly coatings, are the inevitable direction of development of coating industry in the future. As one of the essential components of powder coating, the development of low toxicity, high performance curing agent is of great importance. Multiple glycidyl benzoate PT910/912curing agent has emerged as an alternative of the ecological-toxic triglycidyl isocyanurate(TGIC). It has drew much attention by the researchers due to the merit of good performance and no ecological-toxic compared to TGIC.Based on literatures, this paper adopt two steps including esterification and ring-closure which are suitable for industial production to synthesize triglycidyl trimellitate, one of the components of PT910/912curing agent. We have optimized the process condition via single factor experiment to get product which yields to81.1%, epoxy value0.709eq/100g. Then we improved the synthetic process of diglycidyl terephthalate, another component of PT910/912curing agent. For the first time we used supported solid base to catalyze ring-closing reaction instead of liquid base and good results have been achieved. The yield goes to93.2%catalyzed by NaOH-TiO2which load is50%. Meanwhile, we explored the synthesis of triglycidyl trimesate and optimized the process condition via orthogonal experiment.Finally, we also synthesized several latent curing agents. The yield of multiple benzoyl hydrazides goes to90%. While the synthesis of aromatic hydroxyalkylamide did not achieve desired result, purification method have not been found which need further exploration. |
