Environmental hormone, was generally considered as the third generated environmentalpollutants. NP and BPA were two represeniative EEDs. Biodegradation of NP and BPA wasone of the most effective ways to remove NP and BPA in natural environment. Thus,it was animportant meaning to condue the research of biodegradation of NP and BPA. In this paper,bacterial strains designated as NB-1weas isolated,purified and sorted from acclimatedactivated sludge in oxidation ditch of Shenzhen Shangyang Wastewater Treatment Plant withNP and BPA as the sole carbon and energy source respectively. The residual rate of NP andBPA was quantitative detected by GC-MS. And Monod equation was adopted as the kineticsmodel. The results mainly showed that:(l) The degrading conditions for strain NB-1were optimized by tests in shaking flasks,and the results showed that the optimal conditions for the degradation of NP and BPA bystrain NB-1were: initial optimum content of sodium acetate20mg·L-1, temperature32°C,initial pH8, and inoculum amount2%.(2) According to the kinetics analysis of the degradation of NP and BPA by strain NB-1under different initial NP and BPA concentrations, the degradation reaction was consistentwith one order kinetic characteristic, and the optimum initial NP and BPA concentration were1020mg·L-1. The degradation rate of NP and BPA was respectively54.2%and44.7%after36h of reaction at the initial NP and BPA concentrations of10mg·L-1, and it wasrespectively56.4%and40.2%at the initial NP and BPA concentrations of20mg·L-1.(3) Strain NB-1was identified preliminarily as Serratia marcescens, according to itssequence analysis of16S rRNA as well as morphological physiological and biochemicalcharacteristics.
