Under the pressure on the environment and people’s life must be enormous, our country has built a lot of city sewage treatment plant, but because of the people environmental protection consciousness and huge one-time investment and other reasons, both the unit time of sewage treatment capacity or the technical level of sustained and stable operation of the developed country and there is a considerable gap exists, problems of coverage of small, frequent failure, only the supervisor does not control such as control, to meet the process requirements.This paper takes Shenyang Dahuofang900000t/d of sewage treatment plant automation system as the project background, discusses the concept and characteristics of the design of the application. Distributed control mode selection system, decentralized control and centralized monitoring and management, reduce operating costs. System uses a dual redundant Ethernet high-speed ring, double redundancy network data transmission and video to enhance the interconnection and communication reliability of the whole system, Gigabit fiber backbone network to ensure the data transfer speed and video, when there is a failure in data transmission network, video transmission network as a standby network access, so that data transmission is normal. System through the application of high power distributed UPS monitoring, ensure the machine control unit to work normally in the loss of power state, especially that core executive component (such as an outlet duct electric butterfly valve) normal operation, reduces the risk of back flow of sewage. Self detection instrument setting system, analysis instrument setting self flushing, monitoring equipment for continuous accurate instrument, improves the reliability and stability of the system. The use of these advanced technologies to improve the system reliability and stability, and to further expand and deepen laid the technical foundation and control process. In this paper, combined with the water purification process and the sludge treatment process in detail the implementation of related technology.Compared with the traditional small scale sewage treatment plant automation system in the design and application of contrast, can get the conclusion:high-speed dual redundant Ethernet ring network to cover a larger area, more efficient, better expansibility and compatibility; application of high power distributed UPS improve the reliability of automatic control system, the application of new technology of instrument to make the system more stable, ensure the sewage treatment effect of sustained and stable; humanization software design increases the practicability of the system.
