Cutting machining technology plays a decisive role in the modern machinerymanufacturing industry. What’s more, the better processing surface quality of the parts, thestronger dependence on metal-cutting technology. According to the cutting process of the sungear which is a part of the active wheel, the thesis conducts NC cutting simulation, finiteelement analysis and dynamic simulation’s research and the cutting parameter optimization.First,this thesis introduces the basic composition and the driving mode of the activewheel system.Taking the sun gear as an processing objects,this thesis uses UGCAM tocomplete the simulation of NC machining process,obtaining the corresponding toolpaths andNC code,and has carried on the virtual machine to turning processing simulation.Second,this thesis expounds the basic principle of cutting deformation and the formationof chip.Establishing the cutting finite element model for the sun gear,according to toolgeometry parameters and cutting dosage, the cutting deformation of the workpiece and chipshape is obtained.Third,the cutting process of the sun gear is used in modal analysis and transientanalysis.According to the results,this thesis finds that the workpiece’s bending deformation ismainly caused by its rotational inertia and centrifugal force.Also getting the conclusion thatthe cutting force has a important effect on the surface quality of workpeice.And through theanalysis of cutting parameters,tool materials and processing position,the influence rules isstudied.At last,depends on the cutting parameter handbook and other datas,this thesis establishs amathematical model for cutting parameter optimizatation.Then,it uses the genetic algorithmand the particle swarm optimization to deal with cutting parameter optimization.Proving thatthe optimization results is better than the experience values.After all of this,by improvedparticle swarm optimization,this thesis finds that the particle swarm optimization which usedthe panalty function has a more acceptable iteration time and ineration speed and is moresuitable for nonlinear constrained problems.
