China abounds with coal resources, especially for low rank coal reserves which accountedfor about55%of the total reserves. And low rank coal has higher ratio of H/C and volatile. as awaste of the iron and steel industry,takes up a lot of space resources and The current recyclingmethods cannot make full use of the beneficial ingredients.Based on the above aspects,Metallurgy slag can be used as catalyst during the co-pyrolysis process. In addition, theproduction cost can be reduced and the conversion rate of coal can be improved, as well as it canachieve effective utilization of natural resources and upgrading of coal tar.In this experiment, the Metallurgical slag and long flame coal as raw material, theco-pyrolysis experiments with different ratio were carried out in a dry distillation equipment, andfocusing on the coal tar with GC-MS in order to investigate the changes in coal tar. Using SEManalysis to study the influence of char. Study of metallurgy abandon slag adding amount andtypes affect the catalytic pyrolysis process of coal.Research shows:(1) Compared with single coal pyrolysis,The yield of tar and water slightly decreased whenthe yield of gas and char increased.Comprehensive inspection gas, char and tar yield andquality, catalytic effect of ironmaking slag is better than the other three kinds of metallurgicalslag.(2) The content of CH4and H2increased obviously in coal gas, Which is up to23.98%and38.12%.Improving the yield of char and the number of char surface Cracks.Even can formateddepth of crack so the reactivity of carbocoal increased. The catalytic pyrolysis process ofironmaking slage effect more pronounced in four kinds of metallurgical slag.(3) Co-pyrolysis characteristics of low rank mixed with Fe2O3/CaO in different proportinswere studied in a dry distillation equipment. The results show that the low rank coal pyrolysisyields of gas improved3%with the increasing of Fe2O3/CaO content. The content of CH4andH2increased obviously in coal gas, Which is up to35.69%and17.73%.The yield of tar slightlydecreased,But straight-chain alkanes and some high value-added chemical compoundsincreased.(4) Improving the yield of char and the number of char surface Cracks. Even can formateddepth of crack so the reactivity of carbocoal increased. the synergistic reaction may existbetween the Fe2O3and CaO.
